샌드허스트 골프클럽은 멜번 남동쪽에 위치한 프리미엄 골프 코스로, 관리 상태와 코스 레이아웃 모두 뛰어난 곳으로 유명해요. 특히 자연 지형을 잘 살린 코스 디자인이 인상적이었고, 플레이하는 내내 풍경을 즐기면서 라운딩할 수 있었어요.

 

 

골프장에 도착하자마자 느껴지는 첫 인상은 “정말 잘 관리되어 있다”는 점이었어요. 페어웨이는 촘촘하고 잔디 상태가 매우 좋았고, 그린 역시 빠르고 정교하게 관리되어 있어서 퍼팅할 때 집중력이 더 필요했어요.

이날은 플랫화이트를 주문했는데, 호주에서 마시는 커피답게 밸런스가 잘 잡혀 있고 부드러운 맛이 인상적이었어요. 라운딩 시작 하기전 힐링 먼저 하고 시작했어요.

 

 

샌드허스트는 전략적인 플레이가 중요한 코스랍니다. 단순히 멀리 치는 것보다 정확한 티샷과 세컨샷 위치 선정이 스코어에 큰 영향을 주어요. 페어웨이 주변에는 벙커와 해저드가 적절하게 배치되어 있어서 매 홀마다 긴장을 놓을 수 없었어요.

 

 

특히 몇몇 홀은 도그렉 형태로 구성되어 있어서 코스 공략을 어떻게 하느냐에 따라 난이도가 크게 달라진답니다. 무작정 드라이버를 잡기보다는 상황에 따라 아이언이나 유틸리티를 선택하는 것이 훨씬 유리한 홀들도 많았어요.
